Guru Roop Sadh Sangat Jee:
“Guru Nanak Food Pantry” belongs to all of us. It is our Community Project to implement Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s teachings practically and “Not a mere talk”, but rather involves hands on real action and substantial commitment.
Guru Nanak Food Pantry, a project that has been close to our hearts for a long time. We are thrilled to announce that we are getting closer to making this dream a reality. Over the past few months, we have made significant progress. Thanks to the generous support of our donors, volunteers, and community members that we are in the final stages of setting up the pantry. We have been working tirelessly to ensure that we can start serving the needy as soon as possible. We believe that Guru Nanak Food Pantry will not only provide much-needed assistance to those facing food insecurity but also foster a sense of compassion.
As followers of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, we are deeply committed to His teachings, which emphasize selfless service, compassion, and the importance of helping those in need. Guru Nanak Food Pantry stands as a beacon of these values, providing essential support and service to people in need.
The completion of the interior renovations is crucial for us to fully realize the potential of this noble initiative.
A well-equipped and welcoming space will enable us to serve more families efficiently and with the dignity they deserve.
Second floor space will also allow us to organize various other activities:
1. Preventive health clinic (volunteer service by our community doctors & medical professionals))
2. Career counselling sessions for the guidance of our young generations (volunteer Service by community educationists & professionals).
3. Gurbani & Sikh History awareness sessions. (volunteer service by experts).
4. Interfaith Sessions – Sikh Faith Awareness and participation meetings on our premises.
We believe that every Guru Nanak Naam Leva family in Connecticut shares this vision and supports the efforts to complete the renovations.
We kindly request your support in this endeavor. Your contribution, whether in the form of financial assistance, volunteer work, or spreading the word, will make a significant difference. Together, we can ensure that Guru Nanak Food Pantry becomes a true embodiment of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s teachings.
Especially, Guru Nanak Food Pantry will provide an opportunity to implement our commitment to fostering the involvement of young children in selfless service to those in need. Our goal is to instill in them a profound sense of humility, service, and compassion for humanity. We believe that engaging our youth in community service is essential for their personal growth and development. By participating in our initiatives, children learn the value of giving back to the community, understanding the importance of empathy, and developing a lifelong commitment to helping others.
We are reaching out to all “Guru Nanak Naam Leva Families” to help us achieve above goals. Your contribution, no matter the size, will make a significant impact. It will enable us to create a space that reflects the values of our community and enhances our capacity to serve those in need.
