Guru Nanak Food Pantry will be operated by our young children under the supervision of their parents. Children will be actively involved in stocking the shelves, packaging and distribution of the groceries. We believe that involving children in this noble cause will help them develop a deeper understanding of compassion, empathy, leadership, and importance of giving back to society. it will also provide them with a sense of accomplishment and pride in contributing to the well-being of others.

Moreover, the “COIN for KINDNESS” campaign encourages everyone to contribute their spare change to support this noble cause. Every coin collected will go towards purchasing essential groceries for the pantry.

We are reaching out to seek your financial support and collaboration in this endeavor. Your generous contributions, whether in the form of dry groceries, financial donations, or volunteer time, will be greatly appreciated and will go a long way in making this initiative a success!

Guru Nanak Food Pantry will also purchase Groceries and will drop off  once or more times a year
Possibly in April & November months each year
at the following towns where Sikh Gurdwaras are located:

  1. Town of Southongton – Town Food Pantry (Gurdwara Guru Nanak Darbar location)
  2. City of Norwalk – Norwalk Food Pantry located in Norwalk (Guru Tegh Bahudar Ji Foundation Gurdwara Sahib location)
  3. Town of Windsor – Windsor Food Pantry (Gurudwara Dukh Nivaran Sahib location)

The above will be managed with the collaboration and cooperation of respective Gurdwara management sevadars and Sadh Sangat members. Winter Jackets, Blankets, Sweaters etc. in good usable condition shall also be added to the services provided by Guru Nanak Food Pantry Inc. Requesting Participation in the entire program
